  1. What is Love Lifting Havens, LLC? Love Lifting Havens is a non-medical, shared independent living home. Residents live in fully furnished shared housing while managing their own daily activities, personal care, and routines within a structured, respectful environment.

  2. Is Love Lifting Havens an assisted living or medical facility? No. Love Lifting Havens is not an assisted living, nursing, or medical facility. We do not provide medical care, personal care assistance, medication administration, or 24/7 supervision. Residents may arrange for outside services through licensed third-party agencies for help with activities of daily living (ADLs).

  3. Who is a good fit for your homes? Our homes are well-suited for adults who are:

    • Independent or semi-independent

    • Able to understand and follow community house rules

    • Cognitively aware

    • Able to walk and move about without hands-on assistance

    • Supported by verified, reliable income, such as:

      • SSI, SSDI, or Social Security

      • VA Disability or other Veteran Benefits

      • Pension or retirement income

      • Approved third-party payments or re-entry income

      • HUD-VASH

  4. Do you accept referrals from hospitals, rehabs, shelters, and case managers? Yes. We gladly accept referrals from hospitals, rehabilitation centers, shelters, community agencies, case managers, social workers, and discharge planners. Referrers can use our contact form or email us directly to begin the process.

  5. What about visitors? Yes, visitors are allowed with advance notice from the resident and only during designated visiting hours. All guests must respect the privacy and comfort of other residents, follow staff instructions while on the property, and remain in the living room only.

  6. Do residents have a curfew or house rules? Yes. To maintain a safe and peaceful environment, residents agree to house rules that may include quiet hours, curfew expectations, substance use policies, and guidelines for shared spaces. These rules are reviewed with each resident at move-in.

  7. Eligibility & Forms of Payment- We accept residents with verified income from government assistance programs (such as SSI, SSDI, Social Security, VA benefits, and other qualifying programs) as well as approved private pay and third-party payors.

  8. Who is Love Lifting Havens not appropriate for? Our housing model is not a fit for individuals who need:

    • Intensive medical or skilled nursing care

    • Behavioral stabilization or active psychiatric crisis management

    • 24/7 supervision or continuous monitoring

    • Active substance use treatment, detox, or stabilization services

    These individuals are more appropriately supported in higher levels of care, such as assisted living, skilled nursing, inpatient programs, or specialized treatment facilities.

  9. What room options are available? We offer:

    - Private rooms for residents seeking personal space

    - Semi-private rooms shared by two residents for greater affordability Both options include shared access to common areas such as the kitchen, living room, and laundry.

  10. What items can residents bring with them? Residents only need to bring personal belongings and clothing, which must be kept to a 1–2 bag/bin maximum. Clothing and item must be inspected washed upon arrival.

  11. Are meals provided? The Daily Prepared Meals Program is optional and based on resident interest. Residents may contribute to the grocery list or choose not to participate, wherein the resident is responsible for purchasing, preparing, and storing their own food in accordance with kitchen rules. Meal planning and cooking may be coordinated among residents if they choose.

  12. Does Love Lifting Havens manage outside providers? No. All outside services are provided independently by licensed third-party agencies and are not supervised, billed, or delivered by Love Lifting Havens.

  13. Can residents receive outside services while living here? Yes. Residents may receive non-medical home care, home health care (with physician orders), in-home visits from psychiatrists or nurse practitioners, and pharmacy prescription delivery. These services are arranged and managed by the resident, case manager, VA, or referral agency.

  14. Are there house rules? Yes. Our house rules cover cleanliness and shared spaces, kitchen and bathroom use, visitors, respectful behavior, and safety and accountability. All guidelines are provided, reviewed, and agreed to before move‑in so every resident knows what to expect.

  15. Who are responsible for chores handled? Residents are expected to clean up after themselves daily and participate in assigned weekly household duties.

  16. Is this housing appropriate for re-entry or program transitions? Yes, as long as the individual meets independence criteria and does not require major medical or behavioral supervision. We coordinate with re-entry teams, hospitals, VA programs, and discharge planners to support safe and stable transitions.

  17. What happens if a resident breaks house rules? Responses may include a verbal warning, written warning, or restriction of privileges. Ongoing or serious violations can result in program termination and move-out, and severe violations may lead to immediate action.

  18. How is safety maintained? Safety is supported through security cameras in common areas and outdoors; through clear house rules, structured routines, resident accountability, and by random room evaluations; and regular operational checks.

  19. How do referrals work? Referrals may come from case managers, VA programs, hospitals, re-entry coordinators, parole/probation officers, faith-based organizations, and halfway house transitions. Referrals can contact us through our website, email, or phone to begin the intake process.
